Departures

Kenneth Kahn, executive director of Virginia Commonwealth University da Vince Center, is leaving to become senior associate dean at VCU’s School of Business, effective July 1.

Stanley H. Skreslet, F. S. Royster Professor of Christian Missions at the Richmond campus of the Union Presbyterian Seminary, is stepping down as academic dean. He is returning to the faculty. Kenneth J. McFayden will succeed him, effective July 1. McFayden currently serves as dean of the seminary’s Leadership Institute and Professor of Ministry and Leadership Development, and teaches courses in the areas of congregational leadership and administration.

Jon Laaser has been named the lead broadcaster for Virginia Tech football and men’s basketball. He had been with the Richmond Flying Squirrels/ Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Jay Burnham will assume the role as the “Voice of the Squirrels” upon Laaser’s departure following Eastern League All-Star break.

Tyler “Ty” Crone has been named senior vice president of private banking at TowneBank Richmond. He had been with First Tennessee Bank. He is a graduate of James Madison University.

Jon Colemon, Eldridge Lucas, Michael Phillips, Brittany Shuey and Ramez Tanios are deskside support specialists.
