Midlothian, VA – Euroclassics Porsche, Richmond’s Porsche dealership, will host their 14th Annual Driver Education and Customer Appreciation Event on Monday, October 12, 2015 (Columbus Day), at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) located in Alton, VA.
Drivers will have the chance to join Euroclassic’s Mark Cooke out on the track and take their cars for a drive on Virginia International Raceway’s 3.27-mile course. Driving instructor Tom Long will be the lead instructor for the day. Tom is a noted race car driver from the United Sports Car series, who will be available for private instruction at a discounted rate of $100 per hour, sign up early for your time slot. Drivers will have the chance to enjoy track time and test their driving abilities on a real racecourse. Car and Driver Magazine rates VIR as one of the top six road courses in the United States.
“We have been doing this event since 2002 and everyone who comes has an absolutely great time. If you love cars and the excitement of driving, it is well worth it to make the trip to Danville. You will not be disappointed,” says Mark Cooke, Owner of Euroclassics Porsche. “This is a family event where we serve lunch and everyone gets to enjoy the VIR experience. Several of our customers have attended multiple times.”
The event is open to drivers ages 18 and older with a valid U.S. issued driver’s license. The event is for vehicles of any make and model.
Registration for the event includes a free, pre-event tech inspection of vehicles at the Euroclassics Porsche location in Midlothian, Virginia. Pre-event tech inspections are required for all cars participating in the event. Alternatively, drivers are free to take their vehicle to their preferred service facility at their own expense.
