Apple Hospitality REIT (APLE)

Executive chairman Glade Knight purchased 2,825 shares of common stock at $17.55 per share for a total of $49,578. Knight now directly owns more than 10 million shares.

Director Redd Hugh purchased 3,000 shares of common stock on Nov. 11 at prices ranging from $17.54 to $17.55 for a total of $52,590. Hugh purchased 7,000 shares on Nov. 14 and 15 at prices ranging from $17.84 to $17.96 for a total of $125,390.

CarMax (KMX)

The used car retailer announced the appointment of Jill Livesay as vice president, controller and principal accounting officer. The 48-year-old previously worked for Advance Auto Parts and KPMG LLP. Her annual base salary is $375,000. Livesay succeeds Natalie Wyatt, who is stepping down as controller and principal accounting officer Nov. 14 but continuing as vice president, finance until her anticipated retirement in 2017.

Dominion (D)

Director Ron Jibson purchased 3,500 shares of common stock at $70.97 per share for a total of $248,395.

Kinsale Capital (KNSL)

The newly public insurance company released its third quarter financials, citing net income of $8 million for the three months, up from $5.9 million in the same period last year. It saw gross written premiums of $47.8 million for the quarter, up 4.4 percent. See the full earnings report here.

Corrugated packaging president James Porter sold 110,000 shares of common stock at prices ranging from $47.70 and $48.46 per share for a profit of $5,300,777.

Xenith Bankshares (XBKS)
