The board appointed director Dan Henry to its compensation and benefits committee and finance and strategy committee. The board also amended the company’s bylaws to decrease the number of members to reflect Peter Feld’s retirement on Nov. 12.

Community Bankers Trust (ESXB)

President and CEO Rex Smith acquired 3,000 shares at $8.20 for a total of $24,600.

Eugene Putnam Jr., a director, acquired 1,000 shares at $8.09 apiece and another round of 1,000 shares at $8.20 per share, all for a total of $16,290.

Kinsale Capital Group (KNSL)

The insurer named recently appointed directors Anne Kronenberg and Gregory Share to several board committees. Kronenberg joins the audit committee, replacing Robert Lippincott III, and the investment committee, replacing Steven Bensinger. Share joins the compensation, nominating and corporate goveranance committee, and the investment committee replacing Michael Kehoe.

Markel (MKL)

Vice Chairman Steven Markel sold 200 shares of common stock at prices ranging from $1,070.66 and $1,075.10 for a total of $214,388.

Director Lemuel Lewis purchased 1,000 shares of common stock at $1,080 per share. He now directly owns 5,293 shares.

Performance Food Group (PFGC)

Senior VP Craig Howard Hoskins sold 4,450 shares of common stock at $27.80 per share for a total of $123,710.

Village Bank and Trust Financial (VBFC)

The parent of Village Bank is parting ways with BDO USA as its independent registered accounting firm, effective Dec. 31, in favor of Yount Hyde & Barbour. The company said the change was not related to any disagreement with BDO, which it had used since 1999.
