System and method for irrigation

Patent No. 9,848,543

A method for subsurface irrigation having the steps of; providing one or more hydrophobic porous uncoated tubes having a hydro head (HH), locating the tubes with at least a portion of their length within the rhizosphere of plants to be irrigated, and passing an aqueous irrigation liquid into the tubes during the growth phase of the plants to be irrigated at an applied pressure at or below HH. The tubes may be located in the proximity of seeds which become the plants to be irrigated following their germination. In this embodiment, aqueous irrigation fluid is passed into the tubes during a germination phase of the seeds at an applied pressure that is at least 10% higher than the applied pressure during the growth phase of the plants.

Methods for optimizing an analysis of energy consumption to reduce cost and devices thereof

Patent No. 9,851,701

A method, energy usage analysis device, and non-transitory computer readable medium that obtain an amount of energy generated from wind resources and thermal resources at a plurality of intervals over a specified time period. An amount of energy consumed by a user at each of the intervals is obtained. An energy source wind number value is generated for each of the intervals based on the respective amount of energy generated from the wind resources and the thermal resources. An energy consumption wind number value is generated for each of the intervals based on the respective energy source wind number value and the respective amount of energy consumed by the user. An overall wind number value is generated for the specified time period based on the energy consumption wind number values and the amount of energy consumed at each of the intervals. The overall wind number value is output.

Context-based routing and access path selection

Patent No. 9,857,191

Systems and methods for determination of an access path are disclosed. The access path may include any drivable route that is within a site, and is often, but not necessarily, exclusive of roads in a road network external to the site. In some cases, access paths may include a set of streets between two or more sites without necessarily including a drivable path within a site. Further, the systems and methods may calculate or determine minimum cost routes that include the access path. In some cases, the calculated route may be the minimum cost route that includes the access path, but not necessarily a minimum cost route to a site. In other words, in some cases, the selection of an access path serves as a constraint that supersedes the calculation of a minimum cost route.

Airborne engine additive delivery system

Patent No. 9,856,788

A method of introducing additives to an air intake system of an engine in order to overcome one or more of the various problems created by formulation of additives in fuels. The method controls at least one of the amount, aerosol particle size and timing of introduction of additives based on information relevant to operation of the engine. The introduced additives form an air-additive mixture and are carried by the airflow in the air-intake system to the combustion chamber of the engine. Another aspect of the invention is an additive introduction system that includes one or more containers for additives, a control system for determining at least one of the amount, aerosol particle size and timing of introduction of the additives, and a device to introduce the additives into the air intake system under the control of the control system.
