Village Bank and Trust Financial (VBFC)
The bank said director and former CEO Tom Winfree retired from the board Dec. 31, along with director John Wash Sr. Winfree was the founding CEO and retired from that post in 2014. Wash came over as a director from the former River City Bank, which merged with Village in 2008.
Village said it anticipates the retirement of some longtime directors and recruitment of new directors as the company evolves to become “a top performing community banking organization.”

The company’s stock was removed from listing on Nasdaq as a result of it being acquired by Union.
