One of the top monthly home sales in the Richmond area last year has landed the same designation two years in a row.
Ten months after it came in as the priciest home sale last June in a $1.87 million deal, the 5,100-square-foot house at 104 Tonbridge Road in Windsor Farms snagged the top spot again for last month, selling April 17 for $1.7 million.
While lower than its purchase price less than a year ago, the latest sale came in just above its most recent asking price of $1.69 million. The half-acre property was most recently assessed at $1.5 million, according to city property records.
The five-bedroom, 5½-bathroom house was listed June 27 by Joyner Fine Properties’ Jim and Donna Rascone. The husband-and-wife team represented the sellers, an unnamed couple who purchased the property through an entity called Prince St LLC.
Joyner’s Richard Bower represented the buyer, listed in property records as Tonbridge Road LLC, an entity registered in March by local attorney W. Richard Hairfield of Bon Air law firm Hairfield-Morton.
Messages left for the agents involved were not returned Wednesday.
Built in 1932, the two-story brick house was renovated prior to its sale last year with an addition and modernizations to its kitchen and master bathroom. The kitchen and family room addition includes a barrel-vaulted tin ceiling, granite, a hidden pantry and wine storage, and a stone gas fireplace.
