Lumber Liquidators, the publicly traded wood flooring retailer, is moving its corporate headquarters into the former Southern Season building in Gumenick Properties’ Libbie Mill development in Henrico, the company confirmed Tuesday morning.
The company will relocate from its current home base in Toano into the 52,000-square-foot building by the fourth quarter of 2019. It will bring with it approximately 200 employees.
Southern Season, a Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based gourmet market opened the Libbie Mill store at 4901 Bakers Mill Lane in July 2014 – its first location in Virginia.
It closed the outpost less than two years later, in April 2016, citing weak sales and too large a space.
