Richmond Police Chief Alfred Durham will retire, effective Dec. 31.

Sanya Taylor and Rachel Butcher have joined circle S studio. Taylor is an account manager who has degrees from the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond. Butcher is an accounting manager who had been with Wendel Evolve and is a graduate of Western Michigan University.

Law

Andrew Hayhurst has joined Spotts Fain as an associate in the corporate and business transactions section. He has degrees from the University of Mississippi and Wake Forest University.

Joining Hancock Daniel:

David Abel is an associate who focuses his practice on the defense of insurance companies. He has degrees from Longwood University and the University of North Carolina.

Kyle René is an associate who advises clients in corporate transactions and regulatory compliance matters. He has degrees from the University of Portland and Georgetown University.

Joining Village Bank:

Kim Karamarkovich is vice president and risk management officer.

Dan Jackson is senior vice president of capital markets and product development.

Dr. Danny Avula is dual health director for the Virginia Department of Health‘s Central Region, which includes the city of Richmond and Henrico County. He has degrees from University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.

Reginald Gordon is deputy chief administrative officer for human services for the city of Richmond, effective Nov. 26.

Communications

James Hoffman has joined Verizon Wireless as a network real estate manager. He had been with KVCF Solutions.

Jayme Swain has been named chief executive officer for the Virginia Foundation for Public Media, which oversees the Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corp., effective Jan. 2. She is presently with PBS and is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Alyssa Torre and Kyle Douglas are plant center associates.

Avery Crain is a landscape designer and wholesale sales associate.

Kati Hall has joined Seneca Resources as an account manager. She had been with Apex Systems and is a graduate of Longwood University.

Lauren Bell has joined TBL Networks as marketing manager.
