Departure

Patricia Barber, president and chief executive of The Supply Room, has announced her June retirement. Lauren Jones has been appointed president and CEO, effective March 1. Jones is currently executive vice president of communications.

Gary McLaren, Henrico County‘s director of Economic Development Authority, is retiring this month. Anthony Romanello has been named his replacement, effective March 2. He is the deputy county manager. Romanello has degrees from the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Paul Schmidt has resigned his role as director of partnerships at The King Agency, to found his own firm, Paul Schmidt Voiceover LLC.

Law

Grant Grayson has joined Whiteford Taylor & Preston as senior counsel. He focuses his practice in corporate law, real estate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Jeanne Floyd has joined Isler Dare as a partner in the employee benefits practice group.  She has degrees from Mary Washington College and the University of Richmond.

Construction

At EDC:

Keith Pierce is a superintendent. He had been with Stor-All Construction.

Martin Blum is business development manager. He had been with Colliers International and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.

Real Estate

James Hughes, Melanie Davis and Patrick Whitaker have joined Neumann+Dunn as Realtors.

Government

Damon Duncan has been appointed chief executive officer for Richmond Redevelopment Housing Authority. He had been with the Housing Authority of Elgin in Illinois and has degrees from Eastern Michigan University, Central Michigan University and Auburn University.

Insurance

Sarah Cox has joined Kinsale Insurance Co. as a human resources coordinator/recruiter. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech.

Education

Maria Dezenberg has been named provost at Richard Bland College of William & Mary. She had been with Navitas and has degrees from Eastern Washington University, the University of San Diego and Antioch University Midwest in Ohio.

Marketing/Advertising/PR

Liz Newsome has joined the Alliance Group as a junior account executive. She is a graduate of Radford University.

Finance/Investment Services

Dean Williams has joined SBK Financial as tax director. He has degrees from Washington & Lee University and the University of Virginia.

IT

Brandon Howard is an engineering manager.
