The tobacco giant announced earlier this month its subsidiary UST LLC entered into a definitive agreement to sell Ste. Michelle Wine Estates to private equity firm Sycamore Partners Management for $1.2 billion in cash and assumption of certain Ste. Michelle liabilities. The deal is expected to close this year.
