After a rain-out the week prior, Richmond BizSense’s inaugural South State Bank Invitational was held Friday at the newly reopened Belmont Golf Course in Lakeside.
Taking home top honors in the tournament was the foursome of Mike O’Shaughnessy of South State Bank, Charles Hutchens of Third Line Capital, Richard Wintsch of Startup Virginia and Chris Corrada of Riverstone Properties.
Corrada added to his accolades by winning the day’s longest drive contest.
And the tournament’s two closest-to-the-pin challenges were won by Vern Inge from Whiteford Taylor & Preston, and Brian Marron of Spotts Fain.
Thanks to presenting sponsor South State Bank for supporting this new tournament. Some of the proceeds will go to First Tee of Greater Richmond, which manages Belmont.
