The hotel-focused real estate investment trust announced it recently completed its purchase of a 130-room Hyatt Place hotel in Greenville, South Carolina for $30 million.

The commercial real estate-focused REIT assumed the mortgage loan secured by Greensboro Business Center, a Chesapeake shopping center the company recently acquired. The loan has a principal balance of $4.5 million.

Executive Vice President Patrick T. Hagerty sold 10,000 shares at about $49 per share for a total of $490,000. Hagerty directly owns 152,596 shares of common stock.

The tobacco company announced it plans to buy Pennsylvania-based Shank’s Extracts. The deal is expected to close this year.
