The Pitch: Advertising and marketing news for 10.12.21

Fable Branding + Advertising released a video for Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. Called “She’s a Real Hero,” the 90-second clip features actual breast cancer survivors and presents them as superheroes before transitioning to show their roles in real life.

The pro bono work coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and was shown at VBCF’s “More Than a Pink Ribbon” virtual event. It also will be shown via broadcast, online and social media. Tom Maher directed the clip and filmed it with Julian Ashbee. Alice Blue Studio handled visual effects and character and sound design, and Rainmaker Studios handled voiceover recording.

Response Marketing Group provided identity resolution services to Visit Roswell Georgia, allowing the tourism authority to apply demographic attributes to its site visitors. Work includes engagement campaigns using email, direct mail and ad serving technology. RMG also will be applying the technology to Roswell’s parks and recreation department to analyze park attendance.

Wabash & Lake’s rebrand for Dominion Care included a new logo.

RMG was hired by Explore Brookhaven in Georgia, Auburn-Opelika Tourism in Alabama and Alys Beach in Florida. It’s also doing a brand refresh for Check Printing Solutions, a Chicago-based check printer.

Wabash & Lake Advertising & Consulting completed a rebrand for Dominion Care, formerly known as Dominion Youth Services. The brand rollout for the local mental health services group includes a rebuilt website, ad campaign, logo and marketing elements, and a revamped digital campaign.

Addison Clark produced a series of commercials for Cross Timbers Roofing. The 10-, 15- and 30-second ads feature Nutzy and Nutasha of the Richmond Flying Squirrels and promote the roofing company’s support of the Squirrels’ youth baseball program.

Caitlin Sherman

Madison+Main hired Caitlin Sherman as a junior copywriter. She graduated from VCU in December 2020.

Evergib was hired by public media company VPM to provide ongoing work including creative concepting, execution and consulting.

Evergib is redesigning the website for existing client Seasonal Roots to include a new brand strategy, messaging, design, video and website for the online farmers’ market. Evergib also completed design work for VCU School of Business’s Investors Circle initiatives.

LRL Racing selected two students for its sports marketing internship program. Liddy Custer is a student at Elon University, and Natalia Vajnar is at Chapman University.
