Familiar Creatures released a new campaign for Mercy College in New York called “You Can” and a brand platform for Homeward, a digital telehealth company. The agency was hired by Hometap for creative and strategic work to promote its home equity investment product. It also was named agency of record for Crunch Fitness after about a year of working with the fitness club chain.

Familiar Creatures hired Carey Ely as accounts director. She was previously at Capital One and worked 11 years at The Martin Agency. Hana Ballout was hired as project manager. She was previously at Vice Media and Underhill Productions. Ellen Veith is the agency’s junior art director after recently graduating from VCU Brandcenter.

Red Orange Studio was hired by Peters Law to redesign and develop copy for its website. Work will aim to better define the Richmond firm’s focus areas and create a resource for clients to leverage during proceedings.

Xponent21 updated the website for Mary Morton Parsons Foundation. The new site features a modernized design and improved user experience and includes guidance to grant applicants. The work included integration with automation technology that alleviates the pressure on foundation staff when processing applications.

Xponent21 hired Jeremy Colb as an account strategist. The Christopher Newport University alum was previously at Madison+Main.

QubicaAMF Worldwide, headquartered in Mechanicsville, selected Reston-based Buffalo Groupe to lead branding and marketing for its Hyperbowling brand. Work will be led by Buffalo’s BGRM agency in Charleston, South Carolina, with assistance from Buffalo’s Glenn Gray, who is based in Richmond.

Poolhouse added a D.C. office at 660 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. The GOP-focused political ad firm also has an office in Atlanta in addition to its Richmond headquarters.

Parkwood Creative purchased its office space at 201 Hull St., Suite C under the holding company Outlaw Jude LLC. The agency previously leased the space.

West Cary Group was awarded a $155,000 contract by the City of Richmond Economic Development Authority to develop a new website and marketing collateral. The new site will feature updated photography, a services section and improved search engine optimization and is scheduled to launch by November.
