Plaintiff says without investigating or fixing the cause of the alarm, VCU or its agents reset the unit and silenced the alarm, allowing steam into the supply duct system and into the building, causing sprinklers to activate. Plaintiff says had defendant or VCU contacted plaintiff regarding the alarms, the sprinklers would not have flooded the site. Plaintiff says it repaired the system, and Trent, without consulting plaintiff, used plaintiff’s money to pay for damages and appease VCU. Plaintiff says it is owed $154,124.49 for the work.
