The Martin Agency supported client UPS for its third season sponsoring New York Fashion Week earlier this month. UPS hosted HBCU-themed events and a fashion show for three alumni-owned brands to highlight impacts of Historically Black Colleges and Universities on fashion and culture.
Work from Martin this year included wrapping a UPS delivery truck and store locations in New York, website and social media content, and a panel event. The events continued UPS’s Proudly Unstoppable campaign that Martin launched during the pandemic.
West Cary Group hired Carolyn McCarty as chief client officer. McCarty previously worked as a chief marketing officer for Capital One’s Commercial Bank and as an account manager at Martin Agency.

Elevation created five new Tuition Monster spots for client Virginia529. The broadcast and streaming spots include the 30-second “Bumper Stickers” and “Vet Tech” and the 15-second “The Bathtub.” The agency worked on the campaign with local production company Spang, and Elevation’s C.J. Hawn directed the commercials.
Response Marketing Group added four new clients: Hippo Lending, a Glen Allen-based affiliate of Virginia Commercial Finance; United Bridge Partners, a bridge infrastructure company out of Colorado; Visit Savannah Tourism; and Kempinski Hotels in Cancun, Mexico.
Cade Martin was hired by New York agency Unkommon to shoot photos and video for a back-to-school campaign for National Education Association. Martin also worked on a photo project for Lluminaire Salon in Towson, Maryland.
Campfire & Co. completed branding for Slurp Ramen and The Emerald Lounge in Union Hill. It completed branding and a new website for Dransfield Jewelers. The shop also is designing interiors for a renovation of Tilt Creative + Production’s Shockoe Slip headquarters. Recent hires include Alex Cottles as a senior graphic designer and Avery Fox as an interior designer.
BES Studios filmed a new spot for The King Agency for client Virginia Family Dentistry. The spot features sets from the 1970s to today to showcase “five generations of smiles” and is now in post-production.
Addison Clark produced a video for Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg. The 90-second clip provides a tour of its imaging facilities. The agency was hired by Ellie’s Hot Dogs and Ice Cream and is managing the local business’s organic and paid social media. It also hired Beezer Butler, a recent VCU grad, as a graphic designer.
Virginia Tourism Corp. released the second season of its video web series My Home Virginia, airing on the agency’s website and YouTube channel. The latest episodes focus on a different chef or baker who call Virginia home. The series is part of the agency’s overall marketing efforts to promote state tourism. A third season is in production and will focus on members of Virginia’s sports community.
