Plaintiff says beginning in June 2021, decedent entered into an agreement with defendant to purchase a series of life insurance policies on the lives of elderly individuals in poor health who wanted to receive immediate cash in exchange for assigning their life insurance to a buyer. Plaintiff says, as decedent was told, both Salomonsky and Krupin would pre-pay several months of the insured’s policy, each contributing 50% of the funds for that purchase. Plaintiff says both would then own 50% of the returns and proceeds received back, and acting on the promise, decedent advanced defendant $879,000. However, plaintiff says, defendant never purchased the policies which allegedly had a face value of $43 million, the information presented to decedent was a complete fabrication, and the alleged signatures of the insureds on Krupin Partners letterhead were forged by Krupin, and Krupin pocketed the money. Plaintiff alleges fraud and seek compensatory damages of $10 million, and punitive, $350,000.
