Unbeknownst to Sykes, plaintiffs say, her family had installed camera surveillance and alerted Bickford to Sykes’ presence, and say he was apprehended later in the day when he returned to deliver more medical supplies. Plaintiffs say defendants failed to protect her from harm, and that Sykes had a criminal history that included felony possession of drugs, stalking, and violation of a protective order, and seek judgment of $10 million.
