A local medical spa has relocated its Hanover outpost into a larger space.
Sage & Vine Aesthetics recently reopened in at 9113 Dickey Drive in Mechanicsville. The 2,900-square-foot space is nearly twice the size of its previous location in the same part of the county.
The move was motivated by a desire for more space to better handle the demand that Sage & Vine is seeing. The business is primarily focused on lash and brow services, facials and medical spa services such as injectables and weight management.
“I just want my staff to have the room to do the services we need to do,” owner Rana Hamadani said.
The new location has eight treatment rooms and a conference room for client education programming.
Hamadani estimated that more than $1 million was spent to open the new location, between the purchase of the space, which is two units in a building that’s part of the Atlee Crescent Office Village, and $250,000 in renovations. The sale wasn’t yet reflected in online county records.
Sage & Vine also has a location at 2003 Huguenot Road in Midlothian. The company has more than 20 employees between its two locations.
Sage & Vine offers lash and brow services, facials and medical spa services like injectables.
Hamadani started the business out of her home in 2019, when it was known as Lash Out Beauty Bar. The business moved to its first commercial space, the original Hanover location at 9369 Atlee Road, in the summer of 2021. The company rebranded to its current name and expanded into medical spa services in 2023.
Hamadani said she and her team became increasingly interested in providing more involved and extensive services, which led to the decision to expand into a full-scale medical spa.
“My team got into, ‘What else could we do to make people feel their best?’ Within a year, we were like, ‘Doing facials isn’t enough,’” Hamadani said.
Sage & Vine’s location in Midlothian, which is in the Huguenot Village Shopping Center, opened in late 2022. The company opened the new Hanover location in late January and held a grand-opening event in March.
