Departure

Michael Turner, head of school for St. Michael’s Episcopal School, is leaving to lead the Shipley School in Pennsylvania. Robert “Bob” Gregg III has been named his successor, effective July 1. Gregg is currently with Green Hedges in Vienna, Virginia and has degrees from the University of New Hampshire and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Law

Jonathan Gonzalez has joined the litigation practice group at McCandlish Holton. He has degrees from the University of South Florida and the College of William and Mary.

Morgan Meador, Andrew Oxenreiter, Orran Brown Jr. and Jake Woody have been named partners with BrownGreer.

At Whiteford Taylor & Preston:

Elizabeth Atkinson has joined as a partner. She focuses her practice on federal, state, local and international taxation and employee benefit matters with emphasis on tax controversy, employment tax issues, and tax and benefits planning. She has degrees from the University of Virginia and Michigan State University.

Joseph “Ricky” Lefft has joined the sports law practice as senior counsel. He has degrees from the University of South Carolina.

At Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman:

Leslie Winneberger and Robert Friedman have been named partners. Winneberger defends claims involving civil rights, labor and employment, local government, law enforcement, and religious institutions. Friedman focuses his practice on insurance coverage litigation.

Saemi Murphy and Emily Bishop have been named of counsel. Murphy defends claims involving civil rights, wrongful death, personal injury, construction defect, logging/trucking accident, malicious prosecution, excessive force, premises and professional liability. Bishop focuses her practice on motor vehicle accident cases, local government and law enforcement officials, and landlords and property owners.

Afua Essandoh is vice president, financial planning and analysis. She had been with Xenith Bank.
