Chief Capital Investor Officer Jeanette Clarke purchased 500 shares at about $10 per share for a total of $5,000. Clarke directly owns 45,119 shares of common stock.

Bay Banks of Virginia (BAYK)

The parent of Virginia Commonwealth Bank filed additional documents related to its pending deal to merge with Blue Ridge Bank, including investor slideshows from both banks here and here.

The power utility recently entered an underwriting agreement with Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Regions Securities LLC and PNC Capital Markets LLC, as representatives for the underwriters named in the agreement, for the sale of $1 billion aggregate principal amount of the company’s 2020 series D floating rate senior notes due 2023. President and CEO Thomas F. Farrell II sold 50,000 shares at about $80 per share for a total of $4 million. Farrell directly owns 1.1 million shares of common stock.

The insurer said it continues to work toward closing its deal to be acquired by China Oceanwide by Sept. 30. Should the deal not close by Dec. 10, the company will hold a virtual shareholders meeting on that date at 9 a.m.

Kinsale Capital Group (KNSL)

The insurer announced the appointment of Mark J. Beachy as chief claims officer, effective Oct. 5.
Beachy will replace Ann Marie Marson, who will retire Sept. 30.

Medalist Diversified REIT (MDRR)

The commercial real estate-focused REIT recently announced an update on its hotel and commercial properties, which can be viewed here.

CFO James D. Hope sold 10,000 shares at about $39 per share for a total of $390,000. Hope directly owns 134,906 shares of common stock.
