Visual Appeal LLC completed a brand launch for Nydella, a clothing shop in Midlothian that opened in March. Work included logo design, website and marketing collateral.

Familiar Creatures was named agency of record for Duke’s Mayonnaise, part of Richmond-based Sauer Brands. The agency will work with Duke’s to evolve its current campaign, “It’s got Twang,” and build brand awareness. Duke’s developed that campaign with previous AOR The Richards Group, out of Dallas.

Red Orange Studio created a logo and launched a website for Virginia Beach Ketamine & Wellness. The mobile-friendly site highlights the wellness startup’s services for people with PTSD, anxiety and chronic pain.

Lewis Media Partners hired Jeff Strome as an associate analyst and Kathie Avery as an accounting specialist. Strome is a recent VCU graduate and performed data analysis and reporting as an intern at Sports Backers. Avery is a Mary Baldwin College alum and most recently was at Rockville-based Blakemore Construction Corp.

The Martin Agency launched a campaign for CarMax promoting the used-car retailer’s 24-hour test drives with a Dunkin’ gift card giveaway. The campaign featured actress Busy Philipps and Olympic ice skater Adam Rippon taking test drives and sharing them on Instagram.

Richmond-based Trade-In Guys hired Buffalo Agency, of Reston, for branding and digital marketing. Buffalo’s Glenn Gray, who is based in Richmond, is leading the work for the company, which sources and resells used golf and cycling goods.

Media Lab worked with local web design firm ShermanVision on a new website for Extreme Messaging, an email software company based in Vienna. Media Lab wrote the content and ShermanVision designed the site. Media Lab also launched a website for industry news site Food Delivery News.

Whittington Consulting was hired by Chesterfield-based Timber Marketing & Management to set up inbound sales and customer relationship management systems.

Evergib developed a campaign for Maymont’s Adopt an Animal fundraising program. Called “Spring Arrivals,” the campaign features Maymont animals paired with headlines such as “Adorable is here.” The campaign includes social and digital assets with placement by Lewis Media Partners.

River City Consulting hired Kristen Held O’Shaugnessy and Kayla Follin. O’Shaugnessy handles new business development and consulting. Follin is a graphic designer. The agency designed websites for local homelessness group Homeward, Henrico-based Medworks Surgical and Glen Allen-based Abstract Title Services.

Ashley Sommardahl was promoted to associate director at VCU Brandcenter. A member of the Brandcenter’s inaugural graduate class, Sommardahl was previously director of student affairs and industry outreach, a role she had held for nearly 17 years.

Addison Clark completed a rebranding for Cross Timbers Roofing. The rebrand coincides with the Chesterfield-based firm’s 30th anniversary and includes a new logo, updated website, printed collateral and TV commercials. The agency also hired Anna Breland as a graphic designer. The University of Mississippi alum previously worked as a freelance designer and illustrator.

PRSA Richmond is accepting entries for the 74th annual Virginia Public Relations Awards. Entries can be submitted via the group’s website.
