The hotel-focused real estate investment trust announced Aug. 23 it bought the AC Hotel by Marriott in Portland, Maine for $66.8 million. The 178-room hotel opened in July 2018. It reported an 85 percent occupancy rate in June 2021. With this acquisition, Apple Hospitality has 213 hotels in 35 states.

CAO Rachel Labrecque bought 336 shares at about $15 per share for a total of $5,040. Labrecque directly owns 101,785 shares of common stock.

Chief Capital Investment Officer Jeanette Clarke bought 300 shares at about $14 per share for a total of $4,200. Clarke directly owns 78,804 shares of common stock.
