Long & Foster sales associate Diane Lewis was appointed to the board of directors of EarthCraft Virginia. Lewis specializes in the sale of investment properties and previously was board president for Metro Richmond Habitat for Humanity.

Frederick W. Plaisted II joined Commonwealth Commercial as first vice president/associate broker. Plaisted was formerly a principal at Plaisted Commercial and senior vice president with Thalhimer | Cushman & Wakefield. He attended the University of Georgia.

Higher education

Nancy Bagranoff, dean of the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business, has been named to the board of directors of the American Institute of CPAs. Bagranoff was previously president of the American Accounting Association, and she attended George Washington University, Syracuse University, Ohio State University and Briarcliff College.

Michele B. Fanney is in the asbestos defense, products liability and transportation practice group. She attended the University of Richmond School of Law and Davidson College.

Amber R. Randolph is in the firm’s corporate section. She attended the University of Virginia School of Law and Virginia Wesleyan College.

Monica A. Stahly is in the labor and employment practice group. She attended the University of Richmond School of Law and Bowdoin College.

Spencer Katona joined Spotts Fain as an associate. He will represent lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate transactions, land use and development.

Douglas Pick has been named chief executive of FeedMore, effective Nov. 26. Pick succeeds Fay Lohr, who is retiring after serving as president and CEO of FeedMore since 2008.

Ken West joined HCA Virginia as associate administrator for Chippenham and Johnston-Willis Hospitals. West previously served as associate chief operating officer at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

The United Network for Organ Sharing announced the following hires and promotions:

Chad Southward was promoted to trainer/educator. Southward attended Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Richmond.

Karin Andreatta joined as a maintenance database administrator. She was previously a database administrator at Media General.

Jamica Bright joined as a service desk specialist. She had been a senior documentation analyst at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Brent Grimsrud joined as a resource manager. He previously worked for the United Nations and attended Bemidji State University in Minnesota.

Cassandra Meekins joined as a patient safety coordinator. Before joining UNOS, she was a training coordinator at Anthem/WellPoint and attended Old Dominion University.

Amanda Mullins joined as a grant writer. She was previously a program manager at Prevention Connections, and she attended Virginia Commonwealth University.

Nancy New is a quality tester in IT. She previously worked at GE Healthcare and attended Bryant & Stratton.

Ben Thomas joined as an organ placement specialist. He came to UNOS from the VCU Health System and attended Virginia Commonwealth University.

Florence Yuan joined as a staff accountant. She had been a payables specialist for Carmax Auto Superstore and attended Virginia Commonwealth University.
