Margaret E. “Lyn” McDermid will retire as senior vice president and chief information officer at Dominion after 30 years with the company. Upon leaving Dominion, McDermid will become chief information officer for the Federal Reserve System.

Alan Culp joined Dunlap & Partners Engineers as a mechanical/plumbing/fire protection designer. Culp attended Essex Community College and was previously employed by AECOM.

Janet Wall will join the Virginia Nurses Association as the new chief executive effective Jan. 1. Wall has more than 15 years of experience with both the Pennsylvania Nurses Association and the Pennsylvania Health Care Association. She attended Hiram College, Shippensburg University and the College of St. Francis.
Construction
Doug Hilemn joined Winchester-based Howard Shockey & Sons as project director. Hilemn has more than 28 years of industry experience.

Dominion announced the following promotions:
Steven A. Rogers will become senior vice president and chief information officer. He is currently president of Dominion Resources Services and chief administrative officer.
Carter M. Reid will be promoted to senior vice president for administrative services and corporate secretary. She is currently vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
Mark O. Webb will be promoted to vice president and general counsel from his position as deputy general counsel for electric regulation, litigation and environment.
Christine M. Schwab, currently vice president for regulatory compliance and chief risk officer, will become vice president, chief compliance and risk officer.

Stephen T. Spraker joined Scott & Stringfellow as vice president and financial adviser.

Long & Foster announced the following hires and promotions:
Michelle Groux joined the company’s Bellgrade in Midlothian office. Groux recently completed the firm’s star builders program, a training course for newly licensed sales associates.
Cindy Jez and Christina Royal have been elected to three-year terms as members of the Richmond Association of Realtors’ board of directors. Their terms begin this month.
