David Myers will leave his post as assistant superintendent of budget and finance for the Chesterfield County school system. He will take a position as assistant superintendent of business and operations for Hanover County next month.

Jenkins has been working locally in advertising for almost two decades, most recently as the media planner/buyer for Burford Company Advertising. The Virginia Association of Museums announced the following new council members:
Tramia Jackson will be the director of emerging museum professionals. Jackson is the director of education and public programs for the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center. She attended the College of William and Mary and the State University of New York at Oneonta.
Charles L. Grant will be the regional director for Central Virginia. Grant is executive director of Henricus Historical Park. He attended Virginia Tech and Radford University.

Kent Conrad was elected as an independent director for Genworth Financial. Conrad served as a U.S. senator representing North Dakota from January 1987 to January 2013. At the time of his retirement, he was chairman of the senate budget committee.
Mike Scyphers has been promoted to chief information officer at Markel Corporation. Scyphers has 23 years of industry, and he has been with Markel since 2009. Since joining the company, Mike has been the technology lead for Markel Wholesale.

Mary Huffard Kegley joined the Retail Merchants Association as government relations director. Huffard has more than 15 years of experience in advocacy and government relations and has served the administrations of three Virginia governors. She attended Randolph-Macon Woman’s College.

Max Hepp-Buchanan joined Bike Walk RVA as director. Bike Walk RVA is a regional program of Sports Backers. Hepp-Buchanan previously worked as an advocacy programs manager for the Cascade Bike Club.

Michael Reeps joined as an SEO specialist. He will lead the search engine strategy development. Reeps comes to WebStrategies from RedWeek, where he was director of web design and development.
Bobby Thompson joined the digital marketing team. Thompson will be responsible for managing all paid search, display and remarketing campaigns for the agency’s clients. Before joining WebStrategies, Thompson was Search Marketing Manager at Plow & Hearth.

Emily Woodahl has been appointed activities director at the Towers Retirement Community. She will oversee its program of social and recreational opportunities for residents, including excursions, concerts, classes, special events and other activities.
