Plaintiff says he was working as a machinist in defendant’s Bryan Park Roadway Shop when he was directed by his supervisor to assist with recharging an air compressor. Plaintiff says the support mechanism to keep the open access door of the compressor from falling was defective and propped open with a piece of wood. When his supervisor continued attempts to restart the compressor, plaintiff says the access door fell and struck him, causing injuries, loss of wages and earning capacity, and medical expenses. He seeks judgment in principal sum of $5 million.
