Assura, Inc., a leader in the field of risk management, has been selected as one of five finalists for the Cherry Bekaert & Holland Emerging Company Award, which is presented by the Greater Richmond Technology Council at their Annual Technology Awards Gala.
To be considered for the Emerging Company Award, a company needs to epitomize what the award stands for: “a local technology company that has demonstrated recent growth in revenues and/or employees – a company whose recognized accomplishments and prospects demonstrates the ability to achieve commercial success.”
“We are so excited that we were even nominated, not to mention being named as a finalist,” said Karen L. Cole, CEO. “This is a great honor and reminds us there are so many clients and supporters who appreciate what we do and have confidence in how we do it.”
Assura works with clients in the public and private sectors to identify and manage risks throughout their business ecosystems. This results in improved business performance and reduced compliance costs. Although skilled at working with a variety of markets, Assura specializes in serving financial, government, health care, legal, and manufacturing industries.
The Greater Richmond Technology Council (GRTC) hosts the Annual Technology Awards Gala, now in its fourteenth year. The Gala will be held on May 13 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, honoring outstanding individuals, corporate and community leaders, and entrepreneurs in the Greater Richmond region. Winners will be selected from each of the seven awards categories, celebrating the best and the brightest in the Central Virginia tech sector.
