Plaintiff says his grandson drove him to Huguenot Primary Care after he fell at home, striking his head and face. Marshall treated him, plaintiff says, and was aware that he took daily aspirin and Warfarin because of his history of atrial fibrillation. Plaintiff says defendant noted that his eyelids were “very swollen,” that he had a black eye and a “very dark hematoma of the lower lid,” but did not order any testing. Plaintiff says he was advised to ice and rest. The next day, plaintiff says his wife drove him to the emergency room, where imaging revealed he had a large subdural hematoma, causing a severe and permanent brain injury.
