Bryan McKernon, president of C&F Mortgage, exercised options for 500 shares at $37.99 each. He then sold the shares at $39 per share for a total of $19,500.

Eastern Virginia Bankshares (EVBS)

Director Boris Gutin acquired a total of 7,873 shares in two transactions at $6.78 per share for a total of approximately $53,000. The shares were purchased on behalf of GCP Capital Partners and various related affiliates. GCP is a private equity firm that invested in the bank’s capital raise in 2013.

Director William Lewis sold 10,000 shares at $6.84 each for a total sale of $68,400.

Genworth Financial (GNW)

The company appointed Kevin Schneider as its new chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1. Schneider, 53, has been serving as an executive vice president in the company’s global mortgage insurance division since May 2015 and has been with the company and its predecessors since the 1990s. He received a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the Kellogg Business School. In connection with the promotion to COO, Schneider’s base salary will be set at $725,000.

Union Bankshares (UBSH)

Jeffrey Farrar, an executive vice president, sold 3,000 shares at $26.54 per share for a total of approximately $79,000.
