Boris Gutin, a director, continued an EVB share acquisition streak with the purchase of 3,405 shares in three transactions totaling $23,000, The shares were purchased on behalf of GCP Capital Partners and various related affiliates. GCP is a private equity firm that invested in the bank’s capital raise in 2013.

Union Bankshares (UBSH)

The parent of Union Bank & Trust reported its fourth quarter and year-end earnings. Its net income for the fourth quarter was $17.8 million, up from $14.96 million in the same period of 2014. Its full year net income was $67.1 million, up from $52.16 million in 2014. Total assets reached $7.69 billion at year’s end, up from $7.35 billion at the end of 2014. Total loans grew to $5.67 billion, up from $5.34 billion. Total deposits were $5.96 billion, up from $5.63 billion. Total nonperforming assets decreased to $27.23 million from $47.37 million.

WestRock (WRK)

Corrugated packaging president James Porter sold 26,000 shares of common stock at $38.57 per share for a total of just over $1 million. The transaction was a mandatory sale from a margin account, according to the filing.
