Jack Zoeller, the founder of Cordia Bancorp, parent of Midlothian-based Bank of Virginia, is leaving the firm. He has purchased CordiaGrad, an independent spin-off of Bank of Virginia. The firm is a student loan refinance company that was launched last year. The change was effective March 1, and Bank of Virginia CEO Ed Barham is now CEO of Cordia Bancorp.

Michael P. Goldman and Thomas R. Waskom have been promoted to counsel at Hunton & Williams.
Goldman focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions for both public and private companies. He has degrees from Virginia Military Institute, Boston College and the University of Richmond.
Waskom focuses his practice on class action, mass tort and environmental litigation. He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Virginia.
Doug Sbertoli is partner in the business and corporate practice of Williams Mullen. He had been with Health Diagnostic Laboratory.

Patrice W. Carroll has joined Eagle Realty of VA as the managing director of the resale division. She had been a business development and public relations consultant for the Eagle Companies. She has a business degree from Longwood University and a MBA from Averett University.
