The tobacco giant released a definitive proxy statement that includes compensation packages for several top executives in 2015. CEO Marty Barrington received a total compensation of $13.29 million, including a salary of $1.33 million, stock awards totaling $5.6 million, $3.5 million in annual incentives and $2.6 million in pension value change, among other compensations.
Union Bankshares (UBSH)
The company acquired Charlottesville-based Old Dominion Capital Management, beefing up its wealth management division. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Read more about the deal here.
Union said it will release its first quarter financial results in a conference call on April 20 at 9 a.m.
Village Bank & Trust Financial (VBFC)
The bank entered into new employment agreements with Chief Credit Officer James Hendricks and Max Morehead, executive vice president of commercial banking. Hendricks agreement, which replaces one from 2014, will pay an annual base salary of $180,000, as well as cash bonuses and stock awards as determined by the board. Hendricks is also entitled to participate in the company’s supplemental executive retirement plan with a potential annual benefit of $25,000 for 15 years.
Morehead’s agreement is also replacing a previous pact. It will pay him a base salary of $175,000, cash bonuses and stock awards and the same supplemental retirement benefits.
