System, method, and computer program product for detecting access to a memory device

Discrete events that take place with respect to a hard disk drive or other I/O device or port are indicated to logic that implements Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) or similar technology. These events are communicated to SMART as event data. Examples of such discrete events include power on, power off, spindle start, and spindle stop, positioning of the actuator, and the time at which such events occur. SMART then compiles event data to create compiled activity data. Compiled activity data represents summary statistical information that is created by considering some or all of the event data. Examples of compiled activity data include the Time Powered On and Power Cycle Count. Collection logic then writes the compiled activity data to a memory medium. An analyst can then read data from log file(s).

Kitchen appliance for preparing a beverage and method of operating same

A kitchen appliance includes a first reservoir for receiving a liquid to be used for preparing a beverage. A hot water generator (`HWG`) has an inlet end, an outlet end and a passageway extending therebetween. The inlet end of the HWG is connected to the first reservoir. Liquid from the first reservoir flows into the HWG through the inlet end. A second reservoir is connected to the outlet end of the HWG. The second reservoir includes a discharge port, a gas vent and a skirt extending from a wall of the second reservoir further than the gas vent. The skirt at least partially surrounds the gas vent. At least a portion of the skirt is spaced laterally inwardly from an outer sidewall of the second reservoir.

Assessment and prediction of cardiovascular status during cardiac arrest and the post-resuscitation period using signal processing and machine learning

Real-time, short-term analysis of ECG, by using multiple signal processing and machine learning techniques, is used to determine counter shock success in defibrillation. Combinations of measures when used with machine learning algorithms readily predict successful resuscitation, guide therapy and predict complications. In terms of guiding resuscitation, they may serve as indicators and when to provide counter shocks and at what energy levels they should be provided as well as to serve as indicators of when certain drugs should be provided (in addition to their doses). For cardiac arrest, the system is meant to run in real time during all current resuscitation procedures including post-resuscitation care to detect deterioration for guiding care such as therapeutic hypothermia.

The system may perform additional operations, including determining at least one adjustment to the software program based on the determined at least one risk rating, and prioritizing the at least one adjustment based on a predetermined adjustment priority standard. Furthermore, the system may provide a report including at least an indication of the at least one prioritized adjustment, a timeline for implementing the at least one prioritized adjustment, and plan implementing the at least one prioritized adjustment.
