The armored-car giant reported its fourth quarter and full-year earnings for 2016. Revenues for the quarter totaled $804 million, up from $766 million the same three months of 2015. Quarterly profits totaled $58 million, up from $33 million the year before. Year-end revenues totaled $3.02 billion, down from $3.06 billion in 2015. Year-end profits totaled $144 million, up from $57 million in 2015.
Dominion (D)
The power company announced it is changing its name from Dominion Resources to Dominion Energy, in part to reflect last year’s merger with Questar Corp. The changes, which include a new logo, will be made later this year pending shareholder approval at the company’s annual meeting this spring.
Eastern Virginia Bankshares (EVBS)
The parent of EVB reported its fourth quarter and 2016 year-end financials. Net income for the quarter was $1.62 million, down from $2.16 million from the same period of 2015. Annual profits totaled $460 million, down from $589 million the year before.
