The parent of Union Bank & Trust issued its first quarter financials, reporting net income for the three months of $19.12, up from $16.96 million in the same period last year. Its total assets grew to $8.66 billion, up from $7.83 billion a year ago. Total deposits were $6.61 billion, up from $5.94 billion. Total loans were $6.55 billion, up from $5.78 billion. Village Bank and Trust Financial (VBFC)

The parent of Village Bank filed its proxy statement, disclosing the compensation packages paid to its top executives in 2016. Among them, CEO Bill Foster received compensation valued at $370,000, down from $474,000 in 2015. His pay last year included a base salary of $260,000, a $40,000 bonus, $57,000 in incentive pay and other perks. The full compensation table is on page 18 here.
