The first-phase farm is the start of what’s envisioned as a $300 million, multi-farm complex on a 120-acre campus in Meadowville Tech Park.
It looks like the show will go on after all for Virginia Repertory Theatre after the nonprofit raised the $600,000 it said it needed to avert a shutdown.
“It’s a win for both of us,” Southern Kitchen owner Shane Roberts-Thomas said of her restaurant and the South Richmond mall.
The nonprofit is looking to double its current facility and is doing so with the helping of a local hotelier.
The chain is taking over the recently shuttered Richmond Camera location. It’ll be Warby Parker’s second store in the region.
Grocery Outlet, which buys up other companies’ excess inventory and sells those products at a discount in its stores, plans to open in a former gym in the Oxbridge Square Shopping Center.
The seller was an entity tied to Main Street Homes, which is developing the commercial center that is part of the larger Cosby Village mixed-use project.
“As you go out and you visit customers and you say, I’m Glen Baker, People look at you and they’re like, ‘I used to know a company named Baker Equipment,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, that was my family,’” said Glen Baker.
