The annual awards honoring standout real estate projects in the region were presented Thursday night in a ceremony at Hardywood Richmond.

Three buyers each bought a piece of the Dominion assemblage on Grayland and Stafford avenues, including Richmond-based WVS Cos.

Developer Larry Shaia is seeking approval for a 97-unit age-restricted development that would be Hanover County’s first 55-and-up rental community.

Dubbed Pole Green Business Center, the park would house more than 200,000 square feet across 14 one-story buildings on a 30-acre site.

The $13 million deal gives Costco control of an extra five acres next to its longtime Henrico location on West Broad Street.

Developer Rebkee Co. has filed a revised plan with Henrico County, whose EDA owns the bulk of the undeveloped tract across from the Amtrak station.

“We’re going to stay here as long as we possibly can,” Legend’s Dave Gott said. “Our idea is to hopefully have a little control over what might be developed on this site, should there be any further development on it.”

The eight-figure deal was the second in as many years for the development group led by current and former executives of homebuilder Schell Brothers.

Richmond’s car wash boom continues, with another private equity-backed chain wanting in on the action.

The sale comes about a year after Hourigan sold the largest piece of its Deepwater Industrial Park to a different buyer for $128 million.
