A feud between dentists in Henrico. Plus a Richmond-based counseling business is getting sued by its payroll company. Two locally-based law firms are trying to collect and as usual, a few construction-related suits, including one from a contractor trying to get paid for work on a Chesterfield fire station.

A massive Docket this week, with lots of developer and contractor disputes and a ton of medical malpractice lawsuits. And a computer leasing company wants to collect more than $200,000 from SunTrust while a participant of a “mud run” is suing for millions for an injury he allegedly suffered after diving into a mud pit at an event on Brown’s Island.

An unusually high number of suits against contractors/construction firms. Plus the state is going after a payday lender. And a public transit bus rider claims she was literally thrown from a bus by the driver after she got into an argument with him over a fare.

Lots of collections efforts, especially in construction and real estate. Plus the City of Richmond is going after another alleged tax delinquent restaurant, this time at Stony Point. And tons of medical-related lawsuits, including a claim that a surgeon removed a patient’s stomach thinking it was cancerous when it wasn’t, a patient who claims she had a brain operation on the wrong side of his brain and a customer who claims he got the wrong prescription from Walgreens.

Our biggest Docket ever. Tons of real estate disputes and collections efforts, especially by local governments to collect delinquent taxes. Also interesting, and a white employee is suing a former employer for discrimination, and the driver of a scooter is suing the City of Richmond because a pothole allegedly caused him to fall.

The owner of a shopping center at Short Pump wants $200,000 for improving the common areas of a center it purchased. And a furniture maker is suing Roomstore for $90,000, only Roomstore is now in Chapt. 11 Bankruptcy protection. Plus other collections efforts, and the MCV hospital is trying to recoup a $1 million it says it wasn’t paid for treating a employee who worked at Canon.

A social media consultant is being sued for allegedly botching a website redesign and embarrassing the client with “misleading and defamatory messages.” Another plaintiff is suing for an alleged faulty hip replacement. Plus another vendor is trying to collect from SportsQuest.

A bank is trying to collect more than $700,000 from a defunct healthcare startup. And a log home that still smells like cat pee to the chagrin of the plaintiff who bought the home. Plus a dispute between the owners of a notorious night club.
