Chamber exits workforce development, cuts 1 job

Kim Scheeler, president and chief executive, said the organization is stepping back from workforce development so as not to complicate the efforts of the newly formed board. As a result, one position was eliminated. The Chamber is focusing more on high speed rail, according to Scheeler.

Richmond Chamber names new President

Kim Scheeler will take over as president of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce. He has been the head of the Tampa Chamber of Commerce since 2001. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
