The National Association of Realtors reported that existing-home sales, fell to an annual rate of 4.49 million in January, the slowest rate in more than a decade. Sales were down 8.6 percent from January 2008. The median home price fell to $170,300, its lowest point since March 2003. The median price in January was down 26 percent from its peak of $230,100 in July.
