Packaging system with an improved inner structure

A package includes a slide card that is received in an outer sleeve having a false end wall. The false end wall extends between a top wall and a bottom wall to enhance the structural integrity of the outer sleeve. The false end wall provides child resistance in that it prevents a user from manipulating the outer sleeve to inadvertently disengage a locking feature that lockably retains a slide card in the outer sleeve. The false end wall also prevents a user from accessing the slide card through an opening that is created by removing an end wall.

The system can include an Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) interface configured to receive a plurality of data stream types from a packet switched network. A plurality of local area network ports can be configured to communicate data to local area networks. A switching process can be provided between the MPLS interface and the local area network ports. The switching process can be configured to map individual data stream types from the MPLS interface to each of the respective local area network ports. In addition, the switching process can communicate packets between the MPLS interface and the mapped local area network ports.

Functional polymers via surface modifying agents

Polymers, and particularly conventional commodity bulk polymers, are modified to have a surface activity of interest using a surface modifying polymer that includes a moiety that favors migration to the surface of the bulk polymer together with a moiety provides the activity of interest (e.g., biocidal, wettability modifying (hydrophobic or hydrophilic), resistance to radiant energy, providing a functional group for functionalizing the surface, etc.). The surface modifying polymer is combined with the bulk polymer, and, due to the presence of the moiety that favors migration, concentrates primarily on the surface of the bulk polymer such that the moiety that provides the activity of interest is located primarily on the surface of the bulk polymeric article which is produced. Advantageously, only a minimal amount (such as, e.g., about 2 weight %) of polymeric surface modifier is needed. Being able to achieve desired properties (such as biocidal activity, wettability modification, etc.) without needing much polymeric surface modifier is highly advantageous.

The present invention is directed to a method for preparing a nanofiber web by feeding a polymer solution, which has at least one polymer dissolved in at least one flammable solvent to a spinning nozzle, discharging the polymer solution from the spinning nozzle into a blowing gas or gas mixture that will not support combustion, wherein the blowing gas exits a jet at a lower end of the spinning nozzle, to form polymer nanofibers and collecting the polymer nanofibers on a collector under the spinning nozzle, wherein an applied high voltage differential is maintained between the spinneret and the collector.

The process includes drawing a solution yarn, then drawing a gel yarn and then drawing a dry yarn continuously in sequence to form a partially oriented yarn, winding up the partially oriented yarn, unrolling the yarn, drawing the partially oriented yarn to form a highly oriented yarn, cooling the highly oriented yarn under tension and winding up the highly oriented yarn.
