Explosive matrix assembly

{openx:19}

Patent 7,913,624
An explosive matrix assembly is provided in which a single detonating cord is configured into a first set of at least five parallel sets of paired portions lying in the same plane, with adjacent parallel pairs being spaced about two inches apart. The detonating cord is further configured so that there is a second set of at least five more parallel portions that are substantially orthogonal to the first set and that lie on top of the first set. Finally, the detonating cord is further configured so that there is a pair of portions that operably secure the matrix to an appropriate explosive initiator.

Stain masking cut resistant gloves and processes for making same
Patent 7,908,892
March 22, 2011
This invention also relates to stain-masking cut resistant gloves and methods for making the same, the gloves comprising at least one aramid fiber and at least one lubricating fiber selected from the group consisting of aliphatic polyamide fiber, polyolefin fiber, polyethylene fiber, acrylic fiber, and mixtures thereof; wherein up to and including 15 parts by weight of the total amount of fibers in the glove are provided with a dye or pigment such that they have a color different from the remaining fibers; the dye or pigment selected such that the colored fibers have a measured “L” value that is lower than the measured “L” value for the remaining fibers.

Pharmacy benefits management method and apparatus
Patent 7,917,372
A pharmacy benefits management system and method. A processor server has claim information relating to pharmacy benefits claims, and information relating to a claims processing formularly stored therein. A provider server has pharmacy benefits plan structure information stored therein. A management server has price information relating drugs in various classes and a processing module for correlating the claim information with the benefits plan structure information and the formularly information to identify drugs dispensed to patients, expenses associated with the drugs in accordance with the pharmacy benefits plan structure information, alternative drugs in the same class as the drugs and expenses associated with the alternative drugs.

Starch derivatives and other derivatives, production processes therefor, and wound healing applications therefor
Patent 7,910,130
Novel phosphate starch derivatives are useful in wound healing. Novel phosphorylated cottons are useful in wound healing. Silver-derivatized wound care products are provided which survive washing and remain part of the wound care product. Silver-derivatized wound care products are provided that have favorable elastase-sequestering activity while advantageously appearing white-colored, without needing to darken to grey or black as usually would occur when working with silver. Also, starch products with outstanding water uptake are provided.

Method for chemical mechanical planarization of chalcogenide materials
Patent 7,915,071
A method and associated composition for chemical mechanical planarization of a chalcogenide-containing substrate (e.g., germanium/antimony/tellurium (GST)-containing substrate) are described. The composition and method afford low defect levels (e.g., scratches incurred during polishing) as well as low dishing and local erosion levels on the chalcogenide-containing substrate during CMP processing.

Smoking article having flavorant materials retained in hollow heat conductive tubes
Patent 7,914,622
A smoking article includes a cylinder of smoking material having at least one hollow tube having a heat conductive wall within the cylinder of smoking material and a filter system attached to the cylinder of smoking material. The filter system includes an adsorbent material therein. The at least one hollow tube extends from within the cylinder of smoking material through the adsorbent material. At least one flavorant material is retained within the at least one hollow tube, and upon exposure to heat from the heat conductive wall of the hollow tube the flavorant material releases a flavorant.

Liquid submersion ballistic performance through hybridization
Patent 7,910,502
Ballistic resistant articles having excellent resistance to deterioration due to liquid exposure. More particularly, a ballistic resistant structures and articles formed from a hybrid of woven and non-woven fibrous components that retain their superior ballistic resistance performance after exposure to liquids such as sea water and organic solvents, such as gasoline and other petroleum-based products. The hybrid structures are particularly useful for the formation of or for use in conjunction with soft, flexible body armor.
