Two weeks ago, preppy retailer Vineyard Vines announced its plan to open a store in Richmond.
RBS recently confirmed the chain will open a 3,500-square-foot store in Stony Point Fashion Park in late 2011 or early 2012.
This will be the area’s first retail store, but some of the company’s clothing is already sold at Stony Point in Saks Fifth Avenue.
“We carefully evaluate our retail locations to make sure our growing fleet is positioned in the best areas for our customers,” said Ian Murray, CEO and co-founder, in a statement.
“We know the brand resonates with our customers in Richmond and we’re looking forward to seeing our stores thrive there.”
The company employs 120 people in its 20 retail locations across the country. No word yet on how many will staff the new store.
