A Goochland restaurant has sung its last tune.
Country Folks Grille and Saloon in Goochland County recently closed, according to an auction listing.
Billy Via and his three daughters opened the grill almost a year ago, and now the building is up for auction by Poe Realty and Auction.
Poe Realty says on its site that the owner is retiring and that the auction will be Oct. 29. at the property on Plaza Drive.
Before Country Folks, the space used to house Manakin Grill, which was open for nine years before closing at the beginning of 2010.

Too bad they didn’t make it. But there’s plenty of business for restaurants here in Manakin Sabot, as you can see by the crowds at Enzo’s and Sunset Grill. Just need to get the right theme/menu.
Billy and his family were very good people – I wish them the very best. What they did with the old Manakin Grill restaurant space was amazing and such a great job.
I wanted to try it out and bring a group of friends there, but they had no online menu. These days people are hesitant to try somewhere new unless they can see a menu first, especially when the place is out of the way.
