The Dish will run the last Wednesday of every month and feature a recap of restaurants that RBS has covered, ones that we missed and ones to be on the watch for the following month.
The Dish will also feature a rundown of new menus at local restaurants, new chefs or owners, renovations, upgrades, name changes or anything else that’s not quite big enough for a full-on story but important for our readers to know.

Good idea! Richmond is, pound for pound, the most foodie small city I know – its vibrant food culture, including a strong locavore contingent, means that restaurants have to be creative to gain and keep market share. Covering the business side, and not just “is the food good” – which it needs to be for a place to succeed, but that is not the most important factor in *business* success – will be enough of a new tack that both RBS.com and the RVA restaurant scene might become a story of their own on a larger stage … like Entrepreneur,… Read more »

You’re right, we’ll come up with a new name.
One item that you should look to is the newest addition of Culinard, Culinary Institute of Virginia College here in Richmond. It is a school focusing on training cooks the proper way, solid techniques and training under some of Richmond’s most talented chefs. The school has been open since January and is really taken off!!
