lightbulbpatentMethod and system for offering financial products based on a customer’s determined life status
Patent 8,108,275
A system and method to provide financial products throughout the life of a customer. The present invention determines the life status of a customer. The life status is determined by analyzing the customer information from a variety of sources. This information is filtered or inputted into an algorithmic model to identify appropriate financial products to offer to the customer. In addition, the customer’s creditworthiness is used to determine or optimize the financial product offered to the customer.

Systems and methods for determining the likelihood that a loan closes
Patent 8,108,302
Systems and methods are provided for determining an indication that an application for a mortgage loan to secure a property may result in closing of the loan transaction. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving application information, such that the application information includes at least borrower information, property information, and a first interest rate; receiving home value information, such that the home value information represents an estimated value of the property; receiving a second interest rate; and determining the indication based on the received application information, received home value information, and received second interest rate, such that the indication represents a likelihood that the mortgage loan may result in closing.
Inventors: Michael G. Bradley (Chesterfield); J. Douglas Gordon (Arlington, Va.); Matthew J. Klena (Falls Church, Va.); Pamela W. Sims (Arlington, Va.)
Assignee: Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) (McLean)

Devices, systems and methods for medicament delivery
Patent 8,105,281
An apparatus includes a housing, a medicament container, an actuator, and a biasing member. The actuator is configured to move the medicament container within the housing when the actuator is moved from a first configuration to a second configuration. The actuator includes a gas container and a puncturer. When the actuator is in the first configuration, a portion of the puncturer is disposed apart from the gas container. When the actuator is in the second configuration, the portion of the puncturer is disposed within the gas container. The gas container has a longitudinal axis offset from a longitudinal axis of the medicament container. The biasing member is configured to bias the actuator toward the second configuration.

Pre-fiber gel compositions and materials, methods of manufacture and uses thereof
Patent 8,106,116
A pre-fiber gel material is described herein that includes: a) at least one amide-based and/or polyamide-based composition; and b) at least one lactam gelling agent, wherein the gel composition has sufficient viscosity and sufficient cohesiveness upon the mixing of the at least one amide-based or polyamide-based polymer and the at least one lactam gelling agent that the composition can be spun into a fiber. In addition, methods are provided herein that teach that the production of a pre-fiber gel composition, including: a) providing at least one amide-based compound; b) providing at least one lactam gelling agent; and c) mixing the at least one amide-based polymer and the at least one lactam gelling agent such that there is sufficient viscosity and to sufficient cohesiveness in the composition so that it can be spun into a fiber.
