Critters have invaded Lakeside.
Pet shop Beasts and Bugs opened last month at 6215 Lakeside Avenue.
As its name – and tagline (Exotics From Around the World) – implies, the latest addition to the Lakeside business scene sells unusual lizards, spiders and other creatures.
If you have even a slight case of arachnophobia, click with caution, but the shop’s Facebook page offers a peek at the store’s inventory.
Beasts and Bugs is co-owned by Monica Ramirez and Aaron Reinhard, who made the news even before their shop officially opened when two of their king baboon tarantulas were stolen, according to a report in the Times-Dispatch.
