Carytown’s newest retailer is all about art.
VCU alumna Cathy Davis this month opened Orange Richmond, a home decor and gift shop at 3007 W. Cary St. All of the inventory will be supplied by local artists, Davis said.
“We have pieces from about 16 artists on the shelves now and should have about three more on board by the end of the week,” Davis said. “But there’s no limit on how many we can support.”
The store sells a mix of furniture, lamps, pillows and paper products.
The 1,300-square-foot space used to house Le Visage Makeup Boutique, which has since moved to 3313 W. Cary St.
Orange Richmond is the latest in a string of new businesses to land in Carytown. Mellow Mushroom, an Atlanta-based pizza chain, opened across the street last week.
